Smokey Mountains Songwriters Retreat.  Wow.  Three hit writers, two publishers, six lucky clients.  Boy did we have some fun.

Jacksonville in August

This was my first time in Jacksonville and I loved it. I flew there, met with several writers, and then enjoyed a nice long scenic drive back to Nashville. It really wasn't bad.. it was just long. Plus, I was in great company. 

East coast writers

Last weekend, I traveled up north for some one-on-ones in New York and Boston. If you missed out, make sure to stay up to date with my calendar of where I'll be next.  It was a lot of fun, heard some great music, and I even got to catch a Sox game at Fenway!

It looks like I will be returning in the fall of 2013 for a seminar in Martha’s Vineyard.

Another kind of "Spring Training"

NSAI Spring Training is an exciting week in which NSAI members and chapter heads come for training, networking, and to have their songs heard.  I listened to some songs, enjoyed some good food, and some great company.. right here in Nashville.

Music and baseball.. nothing better

Believe it or not, this is my 17^th straight year to be out with the Arizona Songwriters Association!  I got to work with some wonderful up-and-coming writers, and I fit in a few Cactus League Spring Training games.

The California coast in March

The Durango Songwriters Expo in Santa Barbara was full of eclectic writers and wonderful live performances. I then went down the coast a bit to end my weekend in LA. It was a cool thing to see the LA songwriter community come together for the NSAI workshop we had.  Even with all the great music I got to hear, I still love coming home to the good ol’ Nashville country music scene.
